Piracy and AI threaten Botswana's creative economy, official warns
Deputy Permanent Secretary for Broadcasting and Information Services Tshireletso Motlogelwa warned that piracy and unregulated artificial intelligence could threaten Botswana's cultural identity and economic future unless stronger protections for the creative industry are implemented. He urged Botswana to recognise creativity as a major driver of economic growth and employment, and to protect local creators from exploitation.
