  3. Botswana court sentences man to death for Korean national's murder

    A man has been convicted and sentenced to death for the October 2016 armed robbery and murder of South Korean national Ja Chul Koo, who was working on a Morupule A Power Station refurbishment project in Palapye. Justice Sechele ruled that no extenuating circumstances justified the elaborate nighttime attack, in which Koo was fatally shot and his compatriot Moonhan Jang was wounded.
