Botswana to host tennis tournaments in May and July 2026

The News

The Botswana Tennis Association will host two ITF M15 and W15 tournaments from 11–23 May 2026 and the 2026 Billie Jean Cup Group 3 Africa tournament from 13–18 July 2026, as part of its strategy to develop the country's tennis and generate economic returns; hosting international tournaments in 2025 generated P6 million in revenue and created 200 seasonal jobs.

  1. Botswana U-14 tennis team competes at African championships

    Botswana's U-14 national tennis team is competing at the ITF/CAT African Junior Championships on Clay Court in Egypt from April 6 to 11. The squad of Tinashe Phatshwane, Malak Macheng, Camilla Seetso and Angel Chakanyuka participated in a warm-up tournament beforehand, with the Botswana Tennis Association confident the players will deliver strong performances.
